Pewter Kali Yantra Transformation Goddess Pendant
This item is crafted from high-quality excelsior pewter, which is both nickel-free and lead-free. It was forged in the USA by American artisans. Included is an adjustable 30-inch (76.2 cm) cord with laminated ends and a pewter accent bead.
The design is double-sided, with the same image on each side. The pendant measures approximately 1 inch (2.54 cm) across.
The pendant features the Hindu Goddess Kali, who is known as the goddess of time and change. She represents the power of transformation that occurs with the destruction of the ego. Kali is the essence of Divine Love, to which we surrender as we embark on a journey towards healing and spiritual growth.
Although the Goddess Kali appears fearsome, with her black skin, four arms, protruding tongue, and a girdle of human skulls, she is in truth the Divine Mother. She battles the demons of false consciousness and frees us from the illusion of form, allowing for the possibility of transcendence to pure love.
The Kali Yantra is a symbol that combines the transformative energies of Kali within the "Yantra," a geometric symbol used to focus the mind. Drawing, wearing, or concentrating on this symbol is said to have both spiritual and Magickal Power.
At the center of the Kali Yantra is a small dot, the bindu, which represents the point of creation and Kali as Shakti, the activating energy of creation. Surrounding the bindu are five concentric triangles that represent the five Koshas, or the sheaths of the human condition: the physical sheath (Annamayakosa), the life force (Pranamayakosa), the mental/emotional sheath (Manomayakosa), wisdom (Vijnanmayakosa), and Bliss (Anandamayakosa).
The two circles within the Kali Yantra symbolize the cycles of life and death. The Lotus blossom represents the eight chakras and the eight principles of Prakriti, the manifesting universe: earth, air, water, fire, ether, manas (lower mind), buddhi (higher mind), and ahamkara (ego).
The Kali Yantra is a powerful meditative tool used to focus the mind on spiritual growth and union with the Divine.
